India celebrates Independence Day on 15th August, which is one of the three national holidays in India apart from Republic day i.e on 26th January and Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October. This day is celebrated with flag hosting ceremonies and marches all around the nation. India became one of the Independent nation of the world on 15th August, 1947.
